1.2 Meter Arabsat install in Belfast

Had the privledge of installing this monster this morning.

The customer was happy enough for it to be installed in on the rear wall which backs on to an alley way. Most alley ways around Belfast have Communal lockable gates at either end, but unfortunatley this one has yet.

Hope the the local kids arn't going to use it as target practice!

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

How do the Planning Guidelines differ in Northern Ireland as compared to those in England?

I mean, does the proud owner have anything to fear from a chance visit from the Local Authority?

Emmm, planning permission? There are too many other problems to worry about in Northern Ireland, so the last person knocking on your door is going to be a planning officer. There are a lot of house holds around Belfast that don't even have a tv licence never mind 'planning permission' Lol!

Dish source

The dish was bought from my wholesaler in N Ireland. They bought a huge stock pile of them. PM me if you want details.

Thanks for that as I think they are not made anymore.

I'm sure there is a niche market for them in southern Ireland.

Well done on the install.
