Nice installation. Shame to use an LNBf on this dish. Bit of an overkill for a downlink of 49dBW though

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Interesting aspect to the hobby, keeping an eye on News Feeds.

Do you actually get to learn much that doesn't appear in short order on the News Channels proper?

I imagine there are lots of "bloopers" and so on during the preparatory phases?

Very nice indeed.

P.S.: It 's so low the signal from Spot2 of 31,5W ,that you need such a big dish ?

@John896

Nice setup.

@Vipersan

It's very strong in the UK, according to footprint about 51dBW which equals a 60cm dish.

Could it be that the house partially blocks the signal for John? i saw the picture but don't know the elevation angle in UK for it, if you can get it with a Triax TDA110 he should have received it with a CM 120cm

The only other option I can imagine ..is that the elevation is set for what would have been correct _if_ the bird was _not_ inclined ..say correct for hispasat ..
Then the larger dish being a tighter beam would be less accurately aligned at 31.5 deg..

If the dish was aligned on Intel 801 using a meter ..then this would not apply of course..
just a thought..

I suspect the feeds are indeed 4:2:2 for the most part ..
I had to move to my pci sat card /progdvb & elecard codec to resolve an image on 11606V

You should put up a EGIS motor on that 2.4m,.

Hi GreenmanBelg,The AZBOX is ok it`s a bit buggy at times.It`s no where near the standard of the,DreamBox DM8000 1TB + DVD-RW.However saying that there is a,Ģ700 difference between the two receivers.
