My alu 2 meter is seen on the ground awaiting polarmount from Germany. Pole has been ribbed of many add on's from az/el mount, and is "Hammerited" ready for polarmount. A stacked reserve 2 m fiber dish serves as backup if I have to respin the alu 2m ! Spring is the best time for outside dish work!

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

Posts 25 & 263 have the previous incarnations of my dish farm, but after the winter storms the 13E & 16E dishes fared rather badly - the 16E dish was sagging badly & the 13E dish had gone rather wobbly. Ive spent the weekend revamping the mounts and heres the results.

Left to right:

1m Orbital (bought new) - on 16E)
80cm on the tyre (salvage - on 19E)
80cm (salvage - on 13E)
80cm (salvage - on 5E, 7E, 9E or wherever is interesting round that bit of the arc)

total cost of the new pole mount - 12 quid for the aerial mounts from B&Q. The 4 foot 1.5" green steel pole came out of the scrap pile at work, so was free, and the fence posts were reused from the previous wonky mount.

That one came out of the local woodland and had been bent nearly double. Its not quite straight, but is near enough for 13E - I get 85-90% quality on it

Ah, the bent-double dish....

Well, mine was in very good shape when I got mine, couple of minor dents, but it's ok...

My System: TM-1500Ci+ Super - 1.5m Centre feed - 0.3dB Lnb

@Analoguesat, I love the wicker windbreak behind the dish farm... Also thanks for the visual tip with the car tyres for temp positioning of dishes, I used to use a wheelbarrow, but I can see an advantage of the tyre

That "temporary" mount has been in use for 5 years!

Ive never tried a wheelbarrow mount....

The brushwood is becuse next door cut the overgrown roses down that were along the fence. This made the garden quite exposed with the north wind whipping down the gardens and the dish kept getting blown over

My System: I use a 1.2 Gregorian dish connected to four receivers including a scopus 4.2.2 professional ird2800 and Echostar3600 and two blind scan rx's. My lnb is a quad invacom. All rx's are linked to my packard bell easy one silver laptop.

Here is my 1.8 Precision dish on a 1224 with a Yuri C/Ku LNB from a guy off e-bay in Austrailia. I wanted to get 40W C Band, Ku is offset by about 5 degrees but not really a problem. The whole thing works a treat with a Diseqc switch built ito the C Band LNB. I had to make some new arms for the dish to hold the scalar pate, ali tubing form B & Q did that.
Really pleased with it.
