Dishes on holiday

Haven't been around recently, I was on holiday in Spain for Easter, posting a few pictures taken from my recent visit.

The orange dish was in a holiday park, where the visitors from all round Europe mounted lots of different size dishes to anything that would hold them steady.

On the same site was the tiny black dish on the roof of a caravan.

The one on the balcony must lose some signal from the bars?

My family think I'm nuts going round taking pictures of satellite dishes on holiday - I think they're right!

If anyone collects any more feel free to add them...

Nice set of pictures.

Ref: The one on the balcony must lose some signal from the bars?
Signal is coming down from space, not through the bars, or were you taking the p**s

No - but you're probably correct, the angle maybe OK and the LNB has a clear view of the dish but it must be close.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Nothing much exciting over here in France, but these are the two old dishes I re-tuned for my sister near Chartres, both on 28.2E for her two Sky digital receivers, didn't have a twin at the time.

It was a working holiday T_G.

Interesting though, I have had to replace two LNBs in the past because the geese pecked them to death, solved the problem now, fenced the dishes in.

you should have fenced the geese and let them out only when it was time for them to be cooked...

Right then, here's my t0ken picture from hols.

Spot the mast with three (or four?) dishes.

Mmmm, maybe too much Mythos...

Anyhow, the actual reason I'm posting it, is that I dragged my family out to this place (at great expense, and just for you guys... LOL) purely because of the name of the island.

Hydra.

Wonder if the owner of the big yacht also owns the three donkeys on the quay side?

The only dishes I can see are in that sea front restaurant.

Must try harder
