My System: Mostly gathering dust cos I'm a lazy git. Porty dish face blew off the mount, not too pleased...

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

Whoever installed it seems tohave forgotten to plug the cable into the LNB and there's rainwater getting into the cable....

Nothing wrong with zip-ties, I use them on an 80cm to hold the clamp shut...

As for the size, I couldn't really say as you've joined the pictures up so we can't really get a correct perspective on the dish....

Doesn't really matter carleen, as long as you are receiving a good strong signal

My System: 3.1m Famaval on 28.2, 1.5m offset on 19.2e, 13e & 7e all mixed in a spaghetti of wires and going into a dream thingy.

It's an Anderson 2.4m (I assume he didn't try to sell you the 1.8m version as a 2.7!!) infact I think this one is only 2.6m high anyway.

Here it is: http://www.anderseninc.com/kuoffset.pdf

Installation looks a tadge ropey!

Cheers

Nick

My System: 3m(sky),1.8m(astr/hotbird),1m (nilesat)1m(arabsat)diseqc 4,sky plus,humax freesat,visionet 8000s,technomate 5400 ci+ usb super. Satlook nit colour + Horizon hdsm. wii

Its 2.4m wide by 2.6m long so classified as a 2.4m offset dish by andersen(true focus). The lnb looks like a mti apx xt2 type which seems to work best on those dishes(for me)
How much did you pay for it?

can u explain why people think its a 2.7 then what do they get confused in, i have a friend with 2.4 and he says ours is slightly bigger than his, yes i agree its a anderson just looked at web page, the thing is when they sell you what you think is 2.7 and its not that makes a difference

the lnb is a telesystem universal single m100 i think, we brought the dish and reciever second hand i thought it was a good price 450 when the dishes alone are double that the lnb was new and was charged 80

Its very easy to fool someone who doesnt know about dishes,If the engineer came to you with a tape measure and showed you 2.7m by measuring the wrong way,how would you know?
If you were charged 450 for dish receiver AND installation then its fair, but 80 pounds on top for that lnb? Give it back and I will sell you one that looks exactly the same(the MTI) for much much less.(PM me for price)
