QBox HD and $ky cards?

I've started this thread to ask about the QBox HD's ability to read and (most importantly) keep updated $ky cards. If the QBox HD can do this it would be the clincher for me to upgrade my 7025. I'm not that bothered about card sharing, just would like a way to handle my paid for $ky sub.

Muhuhuhahahahahaaaaarrrgggh

Hi guys. Will try to find out. It is still early days for this box, it is not even for sale, and the software is still being developed as we speak. At the moment not even the internal Diablo module or the WIFI are working, so a long way to go. I would think that it should be able to read the sky card, but that depends on the CAM. If I find anything I will post it in this section.

Cheers

Old thread I know.. but I can now answer the above questions...

Blue card works fine.

White card works perfectly, so long as you add the box key to the newcs.xml.

I am using Emu Plugin 1.0.8

This box rocks :-)

hello!
does this mean when the new white $ky card, was one time in the orginal receiver, dreambox qbox, and all other stb, does not read the card anymore, because of missing box key, like on the old blue card, before, the yellow house card come ,the was also married, with the box!

the box key is encrypted in the cam,i think currency,it is imposible,to get it out!

It has to be YOUR boxkey (the one for the receiver that the card is paired to)

I got my box key from CCcam with my old blue card.

Just google it, you will find plenty of tutorials showing how to get your boxkey.

I should have said, the white card will work without a boxkey, but only for non premium channels. i.e. Sky One will work, but Sky Movies etc won't work...

Are you using the radar cam also for CS? Any problems with HD channels?

Works fine with all HD channels. Yes use Radar for CS also.

Odd thing is though, my white card no longer works and now says unauthorised in a Sky HD box.

Tried another white card and that's fine, and also 2 blue cards work fine.

Didn't leave the other white card in for long just in case!

I only got a an old blue freeview card, and I haven't used it in the qbox yet.
P.S: did you hear of any cam that can do softcams since we last touched that matter (for digi tv) ?
