My System: qbox hd on order triple dragon
sata hdd fitted to qboxhd

HI fitted a samsung sata 250gb hard drive to my q boxhd had to make power conector as its a small one in the box with 5v 0 0 12v plugged sata lead into the external sata conector as the one next to it seams a smaller vertion .
powered up box now record and time shift are brightly hilighted when red button for record is pressed it says hdd not initionalized and in hdd management hard drive shows up make and size and when you go to intionalize hdd it comes up with mkfs failed: cannot initionalize hdd also tried formatting hd in pc but with same result
does any one know of a solution ?

Do not know a solution but I can tell you that mkfs is a linux command for making a file system. Perhaps its 250 Gb size is not compatible with the stb?? or the drive is set for cable select instead of master
