My System: Technomate 1000CI Silvercrest (Comag) SL65 (x2 - couldn't resist!)

You could have a long wait for an answer if you don't let us know what channels you're trying to watch! Anyway, I'm fairly sure that there isn't much on either satellite you can view without updating the keys at least twice a day, if not more.
You'll also have to let us know what version of the SL65 you have - there are a lot of different firmwares for different hardware revisions.

AFAIK there is no later update. You need to update manually via remote.
But as several other people have already said, if you don't say which channels you are referring to, it is impossible to advise you on whether you can receive them or not.

Hi and welcome. This is an old thread and most of the channels have recently changed encryption and are now secure, so; sorry but you are out of luck although some French channels are still broadcast in analogue if you can point your dish to 5W and can pick up an analogue receiver for pennies at a car boot.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

As stated, very little is now open anyway - DigiTV perhaps, but that will be secure soon.

There's no point in searching further as there is nothing to be gained.
