My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs

Thnks for the comment. I opened the box and on the main chip it is written
CONEXANT
MPEG II DECODER

ARM
Will this be of any help????

No. You seem to be giving info regarding the MPEG IC or ASIC used on the board.

What Topper needs is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) name for the STB.
Like DreamBox

Try to check if there is any labels on the back or the bottom and make a photo and attach in another post.

It could be a cheap box from china that the local rep has asked the manufacturer to stick a label like "Zoom" so that he will be the only one who knows how to service it and this way can charge the poor customers a lot of money for any simple task.
First rule in the sat arena: Buy well known parts (parts that have a good website)
