I am still in search a circuit diagram so that I can change it to FTA. I contacted somebody who was talking about Jtag. Any way if anybody can provide me a circuit diagram I shall be happy to proceed.

Thanks Guys. The DishTV support was giving me the BS about software update. Your thread lead me to the correct solution and I got my STB fixed at a local electronics shop in 10 minutes. He changed the two condensers, I guess they had flunked when there was a sudden voltage fluctuation.
The electrician said, he has put 2 condensers of 16v. Thanks a lot.

you do not need any hardware modification. All u need to do is to re-orient dish to insat4 for ur geographic location. I have done it for Baroda. Very small change in angle was needed and just keep watching on tv while realigning the programs u get. All DDplus DTH channels are received in good quality.

all u need is to realign,slight -less than 1dgree-moving disch in right direction will connect ur dish to insat4 which will download all DDplus DTH channels.

Hi There,

I am using the dish tv setup box.
it initially start blinking a light orange and green light..and continues the whole time..
the tv screen remains blank.
its not working for almost a month now, but suddendly a day beofre it worked for one complete day and again went off.
I asked here at the local electrical shop if they could fix it, they are not able to do so, i cannot find a dish tv supplier here to fix it.
can i fix it myself???
Can anyone please help me out of this!!!

SIR I HAVE ZENEGA CD-1004IS IT'S GREEN LIGHT BLOWS BUT NO DISPLAY ON SCREEN ONLY PLANE RASTER, I TRY LOTS OF TIME FOR SET TO SET DOWNLOADING BUT NOT SUPPORT, ONLY THIS BOX DOSE NOT SUPPORT ON WHICH FLASH IC HAVE V1.61 TAG WITH RED MARKS, OTHER BOX SUPPORT WHICH FLASH IC HAVE V1.56

Hi,
I have the same problem : LED blinks green/orange when I turn ON the STB.
I changed the 2 capacitors from 10v to 25v as suggested earlier by Ved.
Still the problem persists.

Though I have found another way to make it work, it is not a convenient way.
The other way I m using is, I switch off the STB by double clicking the ON/OFF switch on STB, after the LED turns red, I turn the STB ON.
Then it becomes and remains green, on the TV screen I see a msg saying Unable to receive signal, but as I change the channel the things work!

Kindly suggest me probable solution.

For those who are new to capacitors like me.

I bought them from a local electrical shop ( main electrical market).
1 capacitor for Rs 4 ( Four only)
Got the soldering done for Rs 10 ( Ten only) for 1 capacitor.

So if this works, it is the cheapest solution.
