Technomate 3100D Can't Load a Patch

Hi everyone,

I have a Technomate 3100D and have been trying to load a patch. I am using Darkman v1.1.2 loader and 3000_P_Series_180908_216.bin firmware (but have tried others). I can communicate from my PC to the receiver but when I try and upload a new firmware it says "transfering...." but doesn't appear to do anything.

If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful of the help.

Thanks. Chris

Sorted !!!!! - Feckin USB to COM Prt adaptor fault

I have now sorted this problem.

I was using a USB to COM Port adaptor but have now tried it on another PC with a proper COM Port and Hey Presto it loads.

Unfortunately all my experiences with these adaptors have been poor to say the least, glad you solved the problem, I suspect though that you have to alter the com port number used to one the software understands that is all.

Thanks Topper but it was definitely the correct COM port number as I could see the boot messages when I rebooted the technomate which also means that the speed settings must have been right aswell.

I use the COM port adaptor a lot for work and most of the time it's OK but can't understand why they don't put proper COM ports on laptops or even some PC's these days.
