about qmax

hi i live in cairo egypt and i have a qmax mini w/o card reader
i used to update it for tps from

_http://www.allstb2000.cjb.net

but they didnt put any updates since 14.July.2008 and even that
s/w didnt seem to open tps

anyone knows why they stooped to make new updates ?
and is there anything i can do with my receiver to see tps?

i herd from other forums they might stick on hot bird for some time

actually this is what i herd :

quote :

hi! this morning i ve checked infosport on hotbird 10796 V 27500 and there was no signal! at first i thought that it s the first frequency that will leave hotbird for good! but i ve discovered that the channels exists on another TP: 11.662 V 27500! later in the day, i ve heard that cyfra+ will take the first freq mentioned (10796) that used to belong to TPS! cyfra+ will use it to broadcast national geographic channel from the 22/10/08!
i think that TPS will stay a while on hotbird or they wouldn't remplace that TP by the new one!

No TPS. They changed encryption system to Viaccess 2.5
They will cease transmissions by the end of this year.
