My System: Sky box+European receiver+motorised dish.
Patch for KAON 200

I have a sky digibox and Kaon 200 receiver with a motorised dish which currently pick up only free-to-air channels. Is it possible to reprogram either receiver in any way to pick up additional channels. I don't have a slot on the Kaon 200 to insert a CAM, but it does have an RS232 port. Can it be reprogrammed directly or is it necessary to attach a CAM via the RS232 port? Your advice is appreciated.

Hello

Welcome to the forum trobinson

Ok firstly no the skybox cannot be patched for reception of extra channels, I cannot say I have any knowledge of Kaons but without a CAM it would have to be an emulator patch I'll keep my eye open but doubt there is much available for it. Are there not any letters before the 200?

Thanks for the quick reply. Not only are there no letters before the 200, there is not even the number 200 on the box. I only managed to establish the model by finding a picture of it on the internet. So can I use a CAM if there is no slot for one? can it be connected in another way e.g. via the RS232 port on the back? Or do I need to buy an entirely new receiver?! Thanks again.
