Question Programming STBs

Can anyone tell me how I should go about preprogramming STBs with a paticular line up of programs that I want to set up on a number of boxes so they are all the same. I shall be using Smartbox 301 FTAs. I am told that however it is done is the same for all types is this correct or not.
If need special software for the computer or any other information would be gratefully recieved

Hello

Welcome to the forum Ronnie B

Well I do not know this stb and you do not mention the manufacturer but if you go to their website there is probably a channel editor/software interface available , you would edit what you need then do a full backup of the whole stb to pc and use that to flash the other boxes. With of course all the usual warnings about flashing stb's, it can fail
