My System: strong receiver 6125 75cm fixed dish
sky news changing freq

Hi, I am a complete newby to satellite set up etc, and have 2 questions

I have a strong 6125 dig receiver bought in 2004. works perfectly
I have never upgraded or downloaded any patches tried an ota download but no result, i think they have stopped doing this.
Do I need to upgrade?, is there any advantage in doing so,or should I
just leave well enough alone....

I am connected to Astra 19.2 east, and watch various programmes
BBC news, Sky news etc. last week Sky news stated on the screen
that as from the 1st May Sky will no longer be available, please retune
your receiver to. transponder 57, frequency 10832mhz. polarity horizontal, symbol rate 22.0, sid61969, fec 5/6.
I have no idea what any of this means, exept I will lose Sky news.
can I find sky again with my receiver, or will I have to move my dish
which is fixed on astra.

My location is Bosnia, thanks for any help. Mike.

Hello

Welcome to the forum mutton 777

All you have to do it enter the menu mode and scan for the frequency FEC and SR given on the message then save the results, you do not have to move anything. I do not have your stb so cannot help you with a procedure but it cannot be that difficult
