live Tv on broadband

I s it possible to watch live TV broadcast channels (from around the world) through internet if I have broadband.
I can watch program on PC. but mostly recoreded one. live programs are bil slow. Some says If I have broadband and aTV, I can watch live TV How do I connect it to the TV. What is the software and hardware needed.

the best way is to have a slingbox connected to a digibox in UK and control it from your pc

There's loads of info on the forum about slingbox, can I suggest you type it in the forum search and read the threads. The only comment I would make is you need a decent broadband speed at both ends

You need the best part of a meg upload speed - I ran a test from Scotland to Brighton a couple of years ago and my pretty average 400 kbps upload wasnt anywhere near fast enough.
