My System: 110cm motorised dish looking for what receivers/positioners i need to get UK stations in Eastern Slovakia
What Receiver

Hi all, I will shortly be moving to Eastern Slovakia and would like to know what receiver/positioner i will need to view UK programs.

I have a 110cm dish with a 36V motor. I was told by the guy i purchased it from that i will need V box positioner and a receiver with DiSEqC?

Forgive my ignorance, as i'm totally new to the sat scene, as i usually just switch the box on and watch the stuff

I've been watching a few on Fleabay Ebay.co.uk/ws/EbayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=280361083123" target="_blank">Receiver and Ebay.co.uk/ws/EbayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200356662786" target="_blank">V-Box

Would this work??

Any info gratefully received

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

If you want the BBC, ITV & C4 programming the receiver isnt going to be the problem - the dish is. That one is nowhere near big enough for Astra 2D

Also, having a motorised system, does anyone know or can work out what angle i need to set it at. I've read a bit on here, but being a noob to all this it doesn't make much sense

I can only recommend the excellent tutorial guides available on this forum, your question 'what angle' cannot be answered
