Hello

Welcome to the forum alan33

That stb is a cheap FTA stb and although some enthusiasts did find that a particular batch of processor chips allowed for a patch to work with it, I doubt people will be bothering now since all but 1 West are secure encrypted and they are in the middle of a card swap. The only way forward is card sharing using linux based stb's.

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

As far as I know, there are various revisions of SL65...

For example, I have SL65/2CI, which is on STi5518 chip, no emu, no c/s.

But there are plain SL65 models, which are ALI3329B based, so firmware with emu is available for them.

The o/p would probably appreciate knowing that if he was to go to the time and trouble of patching his stb (assuming his could be) what channels would it open for him and on which satellites? The reason I ask is because I am not aware of anything opening now other than DigiTV on 1 West

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.
Indeed

Heck of a lot of effort for dubious and increasingly limited return.
