My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

There are several variants of the Silvercrests.

Even ones with the same Model Number (eg SL65) have different chips etc. depending upon when they were made and each variant has different possibilities for what you want, most of them being useless!

Even if you succeed in altering the firmware, there really isn't much left that can be opened.

"T" ?

That's a Digital Terrestrial Box, isn't it, not a Satellite box?

Yes, but the suffix "T" refers to Digital Terrestrial, not to Digital Satellite: The Silvercrest SL65 has both Terrestrial and Satellite models.

If it is definitely a "T", then it is certainly Digital, but not Satellite!

SL65T (Digital Terrestrial): _http://www.mysilvercrest.de/en/artikel.php?a=65

SL65 (Digital Satellite): _http://www.mysilvercrest.de/en/artikel.php?a=51

They look the same, but are for totally different uses.

In particular, you cannot use the "T" model for Digital Satellite.
