Hi, MediaStar is korean version of golden interstar dsr-8001. look at http://fr.groups.yahoo.com/group/GOLDEN-INTERSTAR/ for latest firmware. | ||

| Dear all, The http://www.mediastaruae.com does not have any downloads currently available and nither any instructions. Think the website still under construction. This site www.p321.com/upload is good for getting the software upgrades. However the instructions to upgrade are only available in Farsi. I have sent several emails to their helpline for instructions in English - but no luck so far. Please anyone, can you post the instructions in english on how to install the downloaded upgrades. I require this for my Mediastar Magic Foxplus CX Embedded. Thank you all in advance on your kind assistance and cooperation. Best regards,

Dear Satrcv, I am complete beginner and did the following things without any result, so please bear with me I1. have Mediastar Magic Foxplus CX Embedded receiver and i downloaded 20041217_SGT_FOX_2M_V233.zip and unzipped the file. 2. Connected data cable to laptop anddata port of the receiver. 3. Switched off receiver unplugged all cables except the datacable and ran the executable program on laptop. 4. The settings on the executable were Com 1 upload 0%. 5. On pressing start - Message flashed "CONNECTING BOB" or something simaler and then nothing happed. 6. Tried with various setting of comm ports and even with receiver being on and with cables connected but - no success. Please, please, please, can you or any other friends in the forum tell me what i am doing wrong and point me to the right direction. I eagerly look forward to your reply. | First confirm connectivity with receiver by using simple program like hyperterminal on your laptop. once it is ok .. then try it. It is easy. [email removed

My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. Hi Friends, I was going thru this forum for last 1 week to get a solution to upgrade the software of my MediaStar Magic Fox plus receiver. I had downloaded software from _www.P321.com\upload. The upload date is 28/12/2005. There I could find software MAGIC-FoxPlus_V314 below it is said the for Magic Fox plus. But this is not uploading. The message "Waiting for Bob" comes that is it. It is wrong software or anything more to be considered when upgrade is done. Can any of our expert friends help me in this matter. I am using Null modem cable and connect to my PC's COM1 Port. I am able to upgrade my StarTrack receiver WIB but not Mediastar. Waiting for your earliest reply. With warm regards, Diwan | ||

What I have found is given below Connect the receiver with PC power off the receiver from the button on the back of receiver run the update loader on pc it will show waiting BOOB popup power on the receiver click the ok button on the waiting boob window it will start loading the software I tried this too, but unsuccessful. Please anybody who is having MediaStar Magic Fox Plus Receiver and who is upgrading his receiver please mention the correct software version and what has to be done while uploading. waiting for a solution to this problem Thanks in advance Diwan | ||
