About Axil decoder

Hi there !

i've seen saturday at bricodepot shop a new decoder : axil AD600. It's looks like the coship or boston 4500.

So I buy one to try to flash it but i've got an error message as "software upgrade error !

Is anybody have some informations about it. Do you know if it's possible to falsh it ?

It seems that´s the Spanish version of Coship 2300A, í´m going to try patching it,i´ll tell you later.

Anyone has more info about this deco?.

I have to test my custom serial cable,but it seems Axil is not responding from the Coship upgrade tool.

The pinout of the cable?

I´ve made one with pins 2, 3 and 5, 2 and 3 crossed.
Is the cable wrong?.

It seems this receiver is not responding as a Coship,i can´t connect,the most i had was "d000" on the screen when i tried to upload the rom but it didn´t do anything.

Could you connect finally?

I have the answer at least...

The Axil AD-600 is a Tboston-Coship clone,but (my unit) in last units (built in may-june 2004) flash rom is 2.097.396 bytes while previous flash roms are 2.097.194 bytes that´s why you get the upload error,this mean the unit is upgradeable,but bad news are (in this moments) i only know of one site providing this rom but it will distort your screen,it´s not in PAL nor NTSC and (in this moments) you cannot downgrade the unit as there is no official patch from coship nor axil to do that,so i did that and i had to change the unit to a new one ,for free of course...,(mine was 1 week old),so if you want to test it do it AT YOUR OWN RISK. BTW. Use a usb or ps/2 mouse and COM1 in the upload tool to avoid problems...

I mean .. TESTED but whit distort image,i´m in Spain (PAL). And i change the tv format and the video format but i still got the distort image.

Hi,


I buy today at brico depot a new satellites kit AXIL AN 0386E Which contains a decoder AXIL AD600 (those before contains a Boston DVB4500). i've upgrade firmware with Uptool B34 38 39 with Strong 160804, update keys and channels. All works fine but no sound only noise !!!

Have you known this problem ? A solution ???

I've also upgrade AXIL AD600 with romb34_39pour 2et3 generation, it work fine but i can't see TPS channels, how to activate it ??

You'd better keep the romb34_39 rom but to activate the keys, press the "Position" button while watching a channel.

Is it possible with that firmware to load the key file and the channel list file because the key's edition with the remote control is too crazy ?

You can't load any key or any channel to the demo with this FW (it's a bug). To do this, you have to use this fw:firm S02A-2.96RB3902 STS-MB.02A-SL0 .rar
