Fortecstar 5100scip = Emtec??

Hi

I have just found out that my fortec star 5100scip is in fact an emtech box!! so it will not take al7bar software. I wondered if there was a back door into the box by using emtech firmware but I dont know which emtech box is equivalent or where to get that firmware.

any help please

cheers

Have you tried this site? :-

http://www.al7barfiles.tk/index.php?...fd8eff9e6a1db9

There are some Al7bar files for Emtech, but whether they are for your particular receiver, I don't know, but worth a try.
I can't see Fortecstar 5100 scip listed anywhere - Are you sure it doesn't mean FortecStar5100CIPlus? In which case there are files for this here:-
