Echostar blindscan?

Spoke to a guy at work today who has a viaccess embedded Echostar reciever 2500 or 2700 (he didn't know which one)

He said it has blindscan but can this really be true? I've never heard of that before!

No it doesn't have blindscan.

It does have a list of transponders and will scan those transponders for all available channels.

You can add new transponders and it will scan those too, but for true blindscan a receiver has to scan for transponders.
