The new patch for Sky X5 has a lot of problems. After patching all channels are lost. Rescan will only scan Nilesat not hotbird or Atlantic Bird 3. Can this be remedied Please?

Not Working?

Do you mean the keys have stopped working? If that is the case. Could be the delay in making a patch and they time the keys change. solution if you can enter the keys manually, could be a lot fast.
You just need to get a site with updated keys. Or call Doc Mohamed from anzers. His number is on the website. He will give you the latest patch as soon as it is available. Hope thats of help
Thanx

Strong 4640

Has anyone been able to buy the Strong 4640? Looks like Sky X. I want to find out if you have seen any difference.
I think they have taken the same receiver and given it a name.

Hey Boot and Blockead.

There are a couple of things that I do not understand. First of all the cabling on the Null modem.

It should be 2 to 3, 3 to 2, and 5 to 5,

Therefore, the softCAM etc link given by blockhead goes to a file used in the DreamBox. Can we use it also in the Sky S X2?

Today very cleverly, to update the keys I also tried to reset the database, clever eh?.... well my RCU is in "coma". It gives 0000.

Now, if I reload etc etc the patch I guess the 175 is a bit old. Can I use the 185?

And is the 185 going to update automatically my Nagravision user 2D01?

Your comments will be highly appreciated, ( I will probably remember you in my prayers).

Ah I forgot the Flash sftw for X XX etc, (*.rar file) reported in

h**p://www.anzwers.org/free/skyx/patch1.html

does not exists any longer.

Be good and kindly give me some interesting hint.

Thanks

Hi,
Sorry for a long delay in response.
The null modem is as you have put down. Theres patch version 1.89 I think that can work. As for auto update, U can use any version above 1.79 I think. They should work. Just go for the latest patch from: h**P://www.anzwers.org/free/skyx/patch1.html
all update will work. I had only one problem with one of them can't remember which one. I use 1.89 so that is a good goal.
Holla for any help. Thanx. Keep us in those prayers!

My System: Digital satellite receiver S Model XX & Pentium 4 PC

I bought S model XX digital satellite receiver.

Each time I get a scrambled channel I enter the code 6969 by the remote control twice but no box appears. Even the code 8280 doesn't work as shown here http://www.anzwers.org/free/skyx/skyxx2.html
Could any one tell me what to do to get the scrambled channels clear? Thanks.

System Information:
-------------------
Model : XX
S/W Version: 1.74 (Feb 02 2005)
H/W Version: 1.00
CH Version: A008

Hi Shahinsss,
Million thanks for the clear information, it was very easy, it didn’t take more than 5 minutes and my receiver was flying. Thanks again.
Now I can see all the Multivision, TPS, Discovery and some others. These channels came out clear just after I typed 6969 and 6969 for the pin.
But I have some questions:
1st: Why and when do I have to use the 8282 mode to edit keys and from where can I get them?
2nd: What does BISS channels mean and what are those codes or keys I see in the window when I type 8280?
3rd: I bought this receiver because I’m interested in viewing the scrambled channels on Nilesat 7°W (Irdeto crypting), Kiosque and Taquilla bouquet on AstraSat, but I can’t get any of those!! DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA?
Thank you for your help

But I didn't ask about posting keys!!
- I asked about where I can find them or if they exist or not; for example: A web link can take me there.
- I asked about the meaning of BISS channels.
- I asked about how I use the 8282 and 8280

Dear Analoguesat,
You're talking about keys in my last post of mine which you removed!
Which keys? I went through the history of my posting which are not a lot (I posted 3 times only) and this is the fourth one, I didn't find any thing similar. I didn’t post keys directly, like hex keys or others. I did ask about explanations and some information. That’s all. Is that not allowed?
By the way, is it allowed to post my personal e-mail? Or this will lead to a new argument!!
Thanks

There were strings of alpha numeric codes in there which looked like keys so I removed them. We have an absolute no tolerance policy on keys - so anything that looks anything like keys is zapped by any mod which sees them.

As for private email addresses we discourage them. The forum is for a free and frank discusion of ideas and information. We dont want folks taking information private via email when it could benefit all the members. So we remove any email addresses we see.
