| i've just bought a powersky 8210 receiver ,i was a bit excited until i wanted to use my dragon cam: on the menu, i couldn't find the common interface option which means i can't use the cam, and the strange thing is that the receiver has got 2 slots for the cams and is viaccess embeded(third slot for smart card) any help is much appriciated. nr66 | ||

| Thanks rolf for the quick reply, the main headings are:1-Search channels(antenna setting, manual search,...) 2-Edit(chanels,satellites,...) 3-Setup(language,time,lockcontrol,...) 4-Tools(info,signal level, factory setting and games) .that's all and the strange thing is that in the user's manual, there is a section concerning the common interface. the other thing is this is my second powersky receiver the first one is a PS-1900ci,they both have the same structure and backgroud etc...but the 8210cisk is missing the common interface heading .it is a bit weired. any more help is much appreciated. regerds nr66 | ||

i also have a powersky cisk8210 aka sky2. i use arioner to upload *.auc to the stb but everytime it will return "download fail", but when i use PS loader to upgrade skychip, no problem. is there a possibility that arioner & ps loader needs a rs 232 cable with different pin configuration? http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/...con/online.gif Online Now | |||

| Hi argosy35, how do u actually use this site h**p//steven.hopto org/ ? because there is no response when u click on -firmware for 8210 ciskv,1900ci.also, when u click on -full firmware:download . it just gives u some sort of index list with a dead end. thanks in advance. nr66 | ||
