Unhappy Please help me with powersky8210

i've just bought a powersky 8210 receiver ,i was a bit excited until i wanted to use my dragon cam: on the menu, i couldn't find the common interface option which means i can't use the cam, and the strange thing is that the receiver has got 2 slots for the cams and is viaccess embeded(third slot for smart card)
any help is much appriciated.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I would be very surprised if there isn't a menu for it, what are the main headings in the menu structure?

Thanks rolf for the quick reply,
the main headings are:1-Search channels(antenna setting,manual search,...)
2-Edit(chanels,satellites,...)
3-Setup(language,time,lockcontrol,...)
4-Tools(info,signal level, factory setting and games) .that's all and the strange thing is that in the user's manual, there is a section concerning the common interface.
the other thing is this is my second powersky receiver the first one is a PS-1900ci,they both have the same structure and backgroud etc...but the 8210cisk is missing the common interface heading .it is a bit weired.
any more help is much appreciated.

Seems odd, will move the thread into the Receiver Software section, only because there is a very big throughput of members there and it is perhaps more likely to find someone with the same receiver.

I would guess that the toold menu would be the logical one, perhaps a factory reset would make one materialize.

nr66, how did you upgrade your firmware
i also have a powersky cisk8210 aka sky2.
i use arioner to upload *.auc to the stb but everytime it will return "download fail", but when i use PS loader to upgrade skychip, no problem. is there a possibility that arioner & ps loader needs a rs 232 cable with different pin configuration?

click on firmware tab above the index page and a drop down
will appear and then click your stb model.
