Fortec Star 5600V2 "Err2"

Hi guys, I have a Fortec Star 5600 V2 receiver, It was working fine for 2 years till yesterday. Yesterday it started not booting up and giving an error message on the lcd display "Err2". I thought that the firmware had been erased or something like that, so I downloaded the Uploader and the firmware from Fortec Star's official website, but the uploader doesn't upload anything to the receiver, I use a null modem cable Female-Male (2-3, 3-2, 5-5).
So if anyone could help me find the right Uploader, Firmware i would really appreciate :-)
Thanks.

As already told, i have visited their official website, downloaded the program, but it doesn't work, or I am using the wrong cable, If anyone could tell me how to connect the pins of the cable i might make one.

You probably need a straight RS232 cable - if your receiver has a male connection you will need a gender changer.

My Fortec (5100CI) needed both of these (contrary to the manual, which states that you need a null cable for PC - receiver transfer).

Arrow hey!

I agree with Llew!!!

Got a Fortec Ultra,and uploading works with a straight RS 232 cable,male-to-male!!

PIN configuration is 2-2,3-3 and 5-5!!!!!
Had a 2-3,3-2,5-5 cable,and experienced the same,NO uploading!!!
