simple 20pin jtag pix

Simple 20pin jtag pinouts and wiring.
Use a db25 male connector and 100 ohm 1/4w resistors.
Keep the cable under 18 inches in length.

Temporarily ground pin 115 on the sti5518, then apply ac power
to put the receiver into BFR mode to erase/write the tsop.
As always, backup the firmware first, in case something goes
wrong.

My System: stm5105 based receivers
sti5518 jtag

Sti5518 jtag pinouts for receivers not having a 20pin jtag connector.
Add 100 ohm resistors inline with the signal lines between sti5518
and the db25.

DB25 pin2--------->TMS 110 \
DB25 pin3--------->TCK 113 \
DB25 pin4--------->TDI 112 --on Sti5518 processor
DB25 pin5--------->TRST 109 /
DB25 pin13-------->TDO 111 /
DB25 pin25-------->GND

The JTAG pinouts for STi5518 are as follows:

TRST: pin109
TMS : pin110
TDO : pin111
TDI : pin112
TCK : pin113

BFR : pin115 "ground this pin @ receiver ac powerup to put
processor into BFR mode".This will allow erase/writes of the
tsop with jkeys.

neotion jkeys

This is the neotionbox version of jkeys, unzip to a folder on your hard drive.
The male db25 is the connector that plugs into the parallel port on the pc.
Either buy a connector, or cut an old printer cable short and use that.
It should also work with the lazer models.

Hello,
where can I find this pin (BFR, pin115) in a neotion3000?
I want to erase flash but I can't find it.

Thanks,
Choldi

Wink skymax jtag

I would use the skymax jtag program, you don't have to ground pin115
on the sti5518 using that one and you don't have to play with .def files.

Hello,
I've downloaded skymax_up 2.2. Is this version correct?
When I click on Start, it gives to me Ok (at the third of four try).
And when I click on Erase, it starts, but after some time, it gives to me FAIL.
Any idea?

------

uuuuupppppppppps,
now It doesn't appears Err0 on display, but it doesn't load the firmware via pclink.

Whan can I do now?

Thanks again,
Choldi

It works better in win98, I don't know what os you are using.
In win2k, it says erase failed but I still program the flash anyway.
Err0 you could have used the loader delta 1.0 to recover instead
of jtag.

I am quite aware that my request was placed in the wrong forum ,but the reason for putting in this forum was that you seem to have a good technical understanding of flash memory and here in the U.K getting any help is virtually impossible .
I never heard of that processor, so that's why I didn't respond.
