My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

It will depend on your location, how low you can see on the horizon and your size of dish. You should technically be able to get line of sight (given the right location) to satellites which are only 10 degrees above the horizon, this would take you to satellites at 60 degrees to either side of your longitude.

The dish size will determine what you can see on these extreme arc satellites along with their footprints.

I think

We at our location can receive satellites moe than 60 degrees from our location. I think that according to geometry we can receive satellites which are at 90 degrees apart from our location.

@ wiseguy4u

I think that you will find that Rolfw meant a total scan of 120* ie 60* either side of your due south.
I myself pick up from 53*east to 58*west, a total scan of 111*. Outside those limits I am constrained by houses/trees/bushes.

Yes, it's probably technically possible, but you would need to be on a hill, see the picture below of the Swedish Microwave calculator set at a theoretic satellite 90 degrees away.
