Post Newbie Help needed

Hello,

I am living in a remote rural area in India. And i am running a cable

operator business. Since we live in a remote area we do not get branded

Satellitte Receivers that you guys talk about here (at least to my

knowledge). What we get are unlabled Boxes. Maybe they changed the

writtings. I have about 5-6 Receivers that i dont have any information

about.

In one of my Receiver the menu/receiver information says

SPEC : N99-AS-UH-4330-S0299

VER : SJ 5.04

H/W VER : SM-1050-MA-03-MFTA

This box have just "Space" Written in the Box. Its a black small box.

Can i get some info like how to enter code, software link for this.

Is there any way to know the maker/model of receivers (maybe something

like softwares) since i have about 4-5 receivers that are just lying

uselessly. When i brought they were showing channels but they did not

give me any remote and on some system they have password set.

I have a Dynasat Silver II, does someone have a link for the software

for this model.

Can someone provide me link for Newbie's guide to this things

(satellight, receivers stuffs) or maybe some ebooks.

Thanks and waiting for experts, experienced, helpfull response

Welcome

You could start by checking the pictures here...

This may let you see other branded receivers that look the same.

This site has all the other information you need just spend some time reading the forums.

My System: Dreambox 7000, Skystar2

You could try opening them up and checking out any ID on the boards and chips, and then searching on the Internet?

Once you know what they are based on, you can find any available patches.
