CONAX Embedded Reciver is Enough?

Hi friends,

Iam gonna buy a new eurostar 6600 CAS+2CI model, its a CONAX embedded receiver.
I heared that DISH TV package is encrypted in CONAX system.
So my question is whether this eurostar 6600 CAS+2CI receiver is enough to watch all scrambled channels of Dish tv package without any subscription or CAMS or CARDS.

You will need a subscription card.

The UK Sky boxes have embedded Videoguard, but they dont do much with encrypted channels unless you put a card in them Same principle

Hmmmm greedy
as anloguesat said it wont be possible without a card and dish tV in india is not supplying or selling view cards outside i think.it is supplied exclusively for the dish tv customers to use with the zenega/kaon stbs.

So what's the use of this inbuilt CONAX.
Is this totally waste or it can be able to open some scrambled channels in that satellite?
If we put latest CONAX keys via remot, what will happen?

Jollyjazz - for the time being at least - if you want Dish TV you pay for it. End of story.

Old thread but I have a similar question regarding Conax embedded receivers...

Im thinking of buying a motorised dish for my NE England home with the hope of getting some of the Scandinavian Thor channels (as well as others). The receiver im thinking of is a Techomate 5400 CI Super, which is conax embedded.

Im not interested in getting cards or subscribing either legally or illegally. My question is this...

Are there any conax scrambled channels that are FTV that the embedded conax receiver will pick up? (like C4 and 5 used to be on sky) or will it only get the fully free to air ones?

Thanks in advance.
