No you cant use the internet through your receiver. Its a satellite box not a computer!

No you cant get international phone calls through it! Investigate "skype" if you want to make phone calls via the internet

All software for receivers may or may not provide added functionality of pay tv channels. If it dont work either go without, find a better software flash, pay for the service

My System: star-sat SR-X5D Receiver Premium X LNB 120" Dish Computer system: AMD Atlon XP 64 x2 6400+ Black Edition 4GB DDR2 Bus 800 RAM MB: Asus Crosshair 750 GB Seagate Barracuda 32 MB cache 22" LCD Widescreen Samsung 226BW SB Platinum Pro.

You cannot use internet through your receiver, but if you have services you can use your dish as a send and if spending more money you'll have a dish as for send and receive and connecting to your nic card you can have a GB range transfer rate.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

You can't, you need a satellite PC card, an account with a satellite ISP and a terrestrial ISP for the outbound requests.

Absolutely, definitely not, although I suspect its only a matter of time until some leeching system is available!

For the time being though
