My System: HOTBIRD 4/6 & NSS6 ON ZENEGA CD-1005S with 1 CI-slot & 1 smart-card reader (CONAX Embedded), DISEqC SWITCH, MATRIX O3ZONE LOADED WITH UCAS3.2 & MR 1.220
Hotbird free channels not clearing

i am receiving hotbird signals in india. there are many free channels which are not clearing like canal+, canal+ FILM, and many more. what may be the possible reason

They are not FTA channels AFAIK.

AFAIK = "as far as I know"

Those channels are certainly not free channels. Either your stb has been patched so its capable of opening them, or they have been temporairily unencrypted

My System: Receiver SL10000 Hot Bird, Arabsat3A Ku band, PanAm Sat 7/10 C band

from the coverage maps it seems Hotbird is not receivable in India. Can you Please infom what part of India you are in and your dish size.

They are visible in parts of India - but you need a pretty big dish and you dont get all the beams.

i am 2hrs west of delhi. i am using 10ft jams dish from patiala

I am from Sri Lanka now employed in UAE. I thought of receiving Hotbird in SL before but found We are out of the footprint. Did some research on the net after I saw your post and found that some people in India especially in Northern and NorthWestern part of India are receiving hotbird with big dishes.
