Goldvision 1600 Lux2

Hi, I am trying to use a Goldvision 1600 Lux2 reciever in N.America to watch Intelesat Americas 97 W, I was able to manually enter the TP's and download channels from the sat but when I go to watch anything I get "no signal" flashing on the screen. I know there is a signal because the ird downloaded all the channels from the sat. I am using a single linear lnb (works with all other fta receivers) the ird has version 717 software I have tried using diff frequencies like 9750/10750, 9750/10600, 10750/0, does anybody have any Idea what the problem might be?

I do not know where you are getting your frequencies from but 97W does not have any TP's using those frequencies you mentioned...... see here

I guess I didnt word it right, The numbers I used were for the antenna setup in the menu, not the tp frequencies.

Antenna = 1
Satellite = Telestar 5 97W
Lnb1 = 10750
Lnb2 = 0
0/12 v = None
22KHz = None
DiSEqC = None
C/Ku = None

I must be missing something?

for the ku-band set the lnb1 on universal or 9750/10600 like this if you have one lnb:

Antenna = 1
Satellite = Telestar 5 97W
Lnb1 = universal or 9750/10600
Lnb2 = 0
0/12 v = None
22KHz = None
DiSEqC = None
C/Ku = None
otherwise flash it again

Hi,
I tried all, and flashed it many times but still wont work. its funny that it will download all the channels but not have signal? Does the bin not support "Standard Linear Lnb"?

if it s not a universal lnb try this
You only change the L.O. if you are using the standard Ku LNB then 10750 is right!

The L.O is Lnb1 or Lnb2?
I think I tried that and it still didnt work, it also does the same thing with Echo 148
Why can it downlload all channels but not give a signal when I try watching it?
Is there a NTSC bin that would work with this receiver? or can it be flashed to something else that would work?

you can change in system setting from pal to ntsc
if you can download channels then the lnb is working
