Can anyone please tell me how can I check the firmware version on the Fortec Star 5400 ?

As far as I know, this reciever is the same basic design as the Manhattan Starlight series, If so, press "Menu" and navigate to "System Information" in the "System" submenu.

On my Startlight it reports Boot, APPL and C.A. version numbers.

The Italians and Dutch in particular are heavily into Fortec Star (and Manhattan Starlight) recievers. If you can manage the language barrier, there is a wealth of information on this site and others which is not always available in the UK.

On remote press setup and on the bottom right corner of the tv screen the software version will be displayed.
