help getting more channels

I am stationed in Iraq and recently bought a starcom x550d ultra receiver from a local national shop by our FOB, this is the only receiver they sell. My question is, Is there a way for me and my unit to input code to be able to receive more english speaking channels as well as the lineup of channels from sex-view or Erotic tv? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

what satellite are you looking at from iraq and with what dish size?

I'm sorry I should have included that. It is Hotbird at 13 deg. The dish is at least 30 inches in diameter.

You won't receive all of the channels on Hotbird due to footprint limitations, there are a couple of links for patches for the starcom in the sticky at the top of this section http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/...ad.php?t=56720
