Arrow Sat Channel Help Needed

Hi,

I m New to this forum. this newbie requests your help in setting the channels.. my exposure to Satellite TV is just 4 Months.

Following are the Vitals
1) My Location: Oman / Muscat
2) Dish1 --> Hotbird at 13E
3) Dish2 --> NSS6 at 95E
4) Dish3 --> AsiaSAT 3S at 105E (all connected through a Switch/Splitter)
5) Reciever--> EuroStar 9700 Plus (2003 make)

I can recieve all DVB/FTA Channels (about 600 + Channels)

A friend (local) told me that it is possible to view the encripted channels through some s/w Update

I am mostly interested in watching BBC Prime, CNN I and if possible some sports channels (especially the ones which cover Formula 1 Racing)

How to achieve this? where to look for ?

Any Pointers, Links & guidelines will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards
ViReN

I got the password for the site but link is not there.... this sure indicates, it's a good time to upgrade my reciever that is already too old (2003) ....

I learnt a few more things after reading through the posts...
1) it is not possible to crack I* Endoded
2) Others can be viewed.. including PowerVu, MediaGuard, ... etc etc...
3) Most Important: Be Sure what you are doing when you are upgrading the software in the reciever, if you do it wrong or if it fails, chances are less that you would recover the damage done. it may render the reciever useless.

I will post updates as and when they occur...
I find this forum to be quite un-organized (loads of information) cluttered at different places. ... Alghouth I respect the efforts of moderators. I feel too less moderators present and work load is way too high. (sorry if it is being offended) but for a newbie (to this forum) like me .. it is difficult to find information by browsing the forum.. it's way too cluttered ... Search is the best buddy here.. it seems

Unfortunately there is no way to "organise" the information in the forum more strictly, as an example, your posts covers two or three different subjects and you posted it in the Dish Setup, Multi-Sat & Motorised systems section, when in fact it barely touches on that subject. It could probably also develop to cover another two or three section topics, have moved the thread to Receiver software international, where it is more suited.

The satellite hobby covers such a wide range of topics, that it is impossible to pigeon hole every post, as they inevitably cover more than one of the topics, but as you say, there is a search function on the forum and anyone reading the forum rules and guidelines, should know that it is there.

PS. Powervu can only be watched with a dedicated receiver, which needs to be activated by the service provider.

Sorry I didnt notice that....
I will be careful next time....

I just got a hold of how the titles are placed (catagorized) ... and now it is much simple to understand....

still request you (if possible) to change the width of forum to 100% as it helps in less vertical scrolling for bigger sized monitors

on my laptop 1280 width... almost 1/2 of screen is empty ... (i should have posted this in to questions / suggestions forum)

At the bottom of the page on the left is a box in which, if you select the 'Aria wide' option will display full screen for you.

The link to the file is not working. Anyone has the patch for this Eurostar 9700+CI receiver?

New to sat tv. I have flashed gemini v3 and done the initial setup (language, longitude etc..) When I select a satelite i.e Hotbird... and start search, I am still not getting any channels. A friend said that since I live in North America, I need to find a "channel list of north america" (91-81) and download it to swap satellite configuration from European to American...Please help, I could not find the file "Channel list of North america" and don't know what to do. I have a wave frontier dish t90, 9 lnbs.... please help, I am tired, have not slept all night trying to fix this

PS: I live in Atlanta, GA, USA
