Question Free-xtv Update Sky Box Not Responding

HI
FREE-XTV UPDATE FOR SKY1 BOX
DOWNLOADED UPDATE FILE IS NOT RESPONDING WHEN UPDATE IS RUN VIA SERIAL PORT NULL MODEM CABLE SPECIFICATIONS.
i bought sky receiver which has a model no SKY1 skycrypt V0.01
update zip file skybox_update has been downloaded and all instructions followed.
serial cable 9 pin is compatible with null modem pin conections.
update software is running but no progress and seems not connecting to receiver.
computer is running windows ME.
Following are the default setting for serial com.
Bits per second 9600
data bit 8
parity none
stop bit 1
flow control Xon/Xoff
Use FIFO Buffers(requires 16550 compatible UART) YES
Most probably either receiver is not supported for upgrade or serial port setting of reciver are not the same.

DO ANY BODY KNOW THE DEFAULT SERIAL PORT SETTING WORKED FOR ANY SKY BOX

It seems that I got the same problem here

I donot have an answer for you, but a question indeed!

can you please tell me where can I find the update files - those you've found - or the loader stuff.... you know I'm kinda new to these type of stuff!

I have the same Sat. receiver with the same specifications you have right now!

hi all,
this is excell ,
Dear, leave the loader setting as it is, and use com port 1 , its better to use windows XP
PLEASE DO NOT USE NULL MODEM CABLE, use Serial 9 pin cable, if u dont know what cable to use , ask your dealer to give u a cable for software upgrade, thats all

evry one can download sky1 loader (download.exe) from (http://www.satall.com/home/)
but after run this loader you must have bin file to update your receiver .if you find this bin file to update your sky1 receiver mail to me that site please.

I GOT THE MOST UPDATED BINARY FILES FOR THE SKY1A DIGITAL RECEIVER...... BUT I THINK THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THESE RECEIVERS, CUZ AFTER YOU DO ALL THE CONNECTIONS AND RUN THE LOADER\ UPDATER IT JUST STOPS FOR A LONG LONG TIME AND THAT'S ALL!!!

IF YOU NEED THAT FILE AND BINARY FILES JUST DROP ME AN E-MAIL OR REPLY IN THIS SECTION.

i have sky1 but multivision and many chanell go away aboat 1mo a go and i decide upgrade my receiver yourself please help me step by step thenks for all
