Serial Port control of Zenega CD-1005S

Is there any way to control the Zenega CD-1005S through the serial connection using a PC. Actually, all I want to do is to be able to change the channel so I can record a program on my home-brewed PVR. I want to be able to send a signal at the time my program begins, and change the channel to the correct channel and start recording to disk. Oh, and yes this is a Linux PC.

Thanx,
A. Gupte
