NO CAM installed

1 - what are the softwares and files required to upgarde the receiver?
2 - is it possible to enter the channels encryption codes without updgrading the receiver, and how?
3 - is it possible to enter the channels encryption codes using the remote control and how?
4 - i have the cabel, what is the best way to updgrade and update the receiver?

Im new to all this and I got a new Humax ci 5100. How can I patch it, i.e. what do I need to get TPS. Please let me know in plain simple English.
