Personal Planner Problem

Hi all.
I have a Panasonic TU-DSB30 digibox, UK manufacture. The manual with it does not mention the personal planner facility, and I have an entry on there which
will not delete. When it appears (every day!) I operate the yellow button on the remote to delete it, and then pops up the option to confirm (select) or cancel (back up). Neither gets rid of it. How can I delete the entry?

Hi Geoff, some people have managed to get rid of the item by turning off the box at the mains, removing the card, then switching back on again. The box should then lose the item when it does a new channel scan.

Thanks for your quick reply. I had tried that but to no avail. The entry in question relates to a 'Box Office' film to which I had prepaid, over a year ago.
At the time we watched the film, but the entry stayed - reappearing daily at the same time. That was in UK, since then we have relocated to Cyprus, and had to go through forced download, resetting the box, channel scan (as you suggest), and so on to get the box fully operational here. It must be a glich in the software I think. Retailers/installers locally have had no joy either in eliminating the 'bug'.

OK, certainly has worked in the past when rebooted without the card in, but may be the new software/card stopping this.

Apparently Sky can send out a fix for this and other similar problems, but obviously not so easy when not in the UK.

Hi,

I had a similar problem, contacted an engineer,he mailed me this-:

To clear your PP remove the V/Card
Power down
Power up
Select TV Guide and All Channels until it shows 181-Travel Channel
Replace the card
Wait for the searching for listings banner to go
Then it's clear!

Seemed to work for me,hope it helps!

Well that did not work either. BUT now, if I try and delete the offending PP entry (using yellow button) I get the message "this program has been viewed and cannot be deleted".

Thanks,
Geoff

Well maybe not! I just tried my old (the one previous) viewing card, and was able to delete it. BUT when I re-inserted the current card (for normal reception of the SKY channels) the offending entry re-appeared again. I guess I'll just have to live with it.
Cheers

Try this one Geoff, posted by Chilpillphil on Digital Spy

Turn the box off at the wall.
Put the viewing card in upside down
Turn the box back on at the wall.
When it says there is a Fault with your viewing card, remove it and put it the right way round, Then it should be cleared, (worked for me)
