My question is what is the different between VA10 and VA1.1 firmware!! As I read in an other Forum it is not recomended to upgrade the VA10 because you can not upgrade again the receiver with MA2.0 F/W version it true??? Thanks Zeev | |||

My System: nokia mm9800s MA2.0 xp98 | Hi Hussan Allam I have to ask you did you update your mm9800s with VA10 Firmware or with VA1.1 Firmware if the is yes please tell me.In my MM9800s I have MA2.09 S/W and bootloader 1.04 and the receiver can work with VA10 F/W or I had to also update it with boot 2.00 ? I would appreciate if you VA1.1 firmware please send to me .I have VA10 file but I till yet updated with the receiver because I am looking for VA1.1 S/W version. | I downloaded file VA 1.0 from link NOKIA and SATzentrale Settings I updated my receiver by this version and it was VA1.0 on display at startup. Then I desided to test downgrade to MA 2.0 and then at startup appears running MA2.0 it was succesfull, I think. Then I upgraded by this file which T24 uploaded at startup stands again VA1.0 not VA1.1.Is this really version VA1.1?? By the way my bootloader version is 1.04. | ||

It is true you have update your receiver with VA1.0 F/W for updating the MM9800S with VA1.1 F/W we need licence agreement from Nokia ,Bengt Scheelenberg and Viaccess.The advice That Bengt Schellenberg supporting Center is to send the receiver to a Nokia Service Center. Yours zeev | |||

Dear friends, Please help me. I tried to update my Nokia 9800s (MA 2.0, Boot loader 104) with VA 1.0 inorder to access Viaccess 2.4 channels. I ended up with a communication error below. My System: 9800s Nokia | Success. I could download the software successfully. 1. Receiver is unplugged 2. Serial server exe is opened and the .dl file is loaded 3. Start download button is pressed, it says restart the receiver. 4. Receiver is plugged-in 5. Software downloaded 100% Thanks, Ari | ||

Yesterday I cam across an ad about a Swiss firm that is accepting (against a fee) to upgrade cleints NOKIA 9800 S to vNEW version MA 2.2. Would you possess some information as to where that announced version is obtainable. Which sites to visit . Forums will advise us about the results after upgrading the demo. Yesterday a SWISS firm has confirmed that they can upgrade my NOKIA 9800S to the very NEW version MA 2.2.( my old version on my demo is MA 1.3) Will you please check that out and investigate whether this new version is already available. I will then go hunting to find an appropriate site where I can download. Once I get it I must revert back you for intructions on HOW to proceed. Hoping to hear from you. My System: 1,25 Fibostop Jäger Smr 1224 & Smo 36 Dual Axsis Motor Dynasat F1 Monterey 140 Drembox 800 sky Pace HD Box Tagra 2,20 M Fullsize Dish Echostar 2,40m Mesh for cband! | hello! i also still,using the old 9800,the picture quality is very clear,much better,then todays "!massmarket reveivers" how old it this new v.a firmware,i was thinking,there is no support anymore from nokia! is the settings list,fully compatible,with ma 2,0,because from ma 1.3 to ma 2.0,settings are not compatible,if i remember right! can anyone send my latest settings file with favorite list,problem,on hotbird alone,are so many channel,with astra together,the channel list is complitly full,when i try to add a 3.satelite! 5 years ago,itwas no problem,but now we have to much channels for 9800,maybe i must buy a 2 one,to handle them all | ||

| Nokia stopped supporting 9800S few years ago. Latest firmware is MA 2.0 and you can dl it still from a certain website. If there is a new MA 2.2 version, then I think it would be UNOFFICIAL. Whatever happened to version MA 2.1 if there was one ever ? | ||
