Globo Silver Line 1005 - Upgrade Problem

Hi everbody,

I have a big Problem with my Globo Receiver.

I bought it last year and some weeks ago I had some Problems. I could not change the Channels and the Infobar was always there. To fix it I just put PowerCable out and it works again.

Now I wanted to Upgrade my Receiver so I opened the Receiver Menu and I clicked with the RemoteControle on the "S/W Update" button and I saw a black Screen with a a red font for a short time, I could not read it because it was to short but I think they wrote something about "Globo Software Upgrade, please ....". And then Receiver went off and is still of.

Now I cant press the Power Button on the Receiver and the RemoteControl, it doesnt work! The Power LED is on and the Standby LED is on, but the Light isnt very Brightly.

Please help me! Thank you

Well perhaps there are some occasions when it is quicker and better to help yourself especially when talking about obscure receivers. You are in Germany you have a German made stb and it should have been easy to find their web-site, or was the website address not given in the manual?

They do have a support website had you searched for it and I would suggest contacting them there, I suspect you may have activiated the OTA upgrade facility and were not pointing at the correct satellite, but only you would know that. However if you click here you can download the latest manufacturers software for your STB assuming it is a Globo Silverline 1005 C:DVB-S, 5000 Ch., FTA and then reflash it yourself using the recommended cable
