smartbox 201 fta key input

hi all

just wanted to know if anyone knows how to enter the keys for tps or any others into this receiver.

i have keys and i've entered them into the "key editing" section by remote control,(into the AES TPS FILE) but the channels still dont open. do they need modifying or not.

any help and /or other advise regarding this type of box greatly appreciated.

You cant do it that way - the TPS keys change every 5 minutes or so!

You need find a TPS bin file suitable for your receiver, (and load a fresh one every couple of days)

so i suppose that means that i need to search an international forum and look for the bin file there (for a smartbox fta 201) and then connect the pc to the reciever via the RS 232 port at the back of the receiver to load the file?

does this only apply to tps(because they change so frequently) or can i manually enter keys for other channels other than tps?

can you recommend an international site to look for the bin file.
