There are reports that some transponders on this beam are active (maybe periodically) and some hobbyists report receiving some channels from it in West Africa.

The beam was first observed in July this year with activity suspected on 12604 V 27500. Reported in the past few days is STV 1 and 2 on 12580v 4064; also Equinoxe but I don't immediately have transponder details; might be the same as the STVs.

Hi from Cape Town SA. Thanks for the info. I will try the freqs as soon as I can and let you know. Things in this part of the world have been a bit dead for a while. No new developments here. A new consortium was awarded a licence a number of months ago but as usual nothing has happened.
