Newly launched, and not yet on station, Sirius 4 will be operating a Ku and Ka band payload. Coverage will be similar to Sirius 2 & 3 although with more coverage into Eastern Europe. There is also supposed to be an African footprint, although I havent found any map of that yet.

Diablo/Mrev Cams  Fighting the evil 3 Dragons under the Don Quixote banner,Sir Llew persevered where others failed | Sirius 4 is now in final orbital position (4.8E) as at 30/12/07 and will no doubt be transferring traffic from Sirius 2 in the near future. The last 2 or 3 tp's will swap over in the next few days. Signal strengths are very good here in southern Scotland - and there are reports of the the BSS Nordic beams being easily received in south Wales!

Still no sign of the African footprint beam though.
