My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S


The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue
Asiasat 5 - will be 100.5E

Asiasat 5 is due for launch this evening (August 11th)

She will be replacing Asiasat 2 at 100.5E.

She carries 4 separate payloads

1) the South Asia Ku band beam which covers Saudi Arabia and India.
2) the East Asia Ku band beam which covers China and parts of northern India
3) a Ku band steerable beam which can be targetted as required
4) a C-band payload which covers most of Russia & as far south as Australia.
