well i have got help in the past regarding my satmeter(original laguga 3 button) I have come to the conclusion it is not the battery but the unit itself. With a multimeter the battery shows charged but when i hook to the meter it says 10 % or whatever and powers down.Anyone know what the culprit maybe. I hooked something else 12 v up to the battery and it ran that fine. Thanks Cid

My System: Gibertini 1.5m, Jaeger 1224, Vantage x221 TS CI... Fibo 90, Mot-Sat3, Manhattan Plaza XT-M... Satcatcher Excel-TV, Lacuna Mk4 | It's no good checking the battery with a multimeter. You need attach the multimeter, take a voltage reading, then to apply a load of at least 0.5A and take another voltage reading. There should be almost no difference in the voltage between the two. Just because the battery will run something else doesn't mean it's not faulty. For example one cell could be a dead short when under load.

| See if the meter powers up when connected to say, a charged up car battery. If it does then you know you need to get some new recharegeables. | ||
