Hi Satwino
Thanks for the PM. Glad you can now program meter with transponders yourself. In the SDM2 programming the High Low column refers to the frequency band see _http://www.digitalsat.co.uk/astra2freqplan.html for instance. Each sat may use different definitions of High or Low so best to check.
Thought it best to reply on the forum so all can benefit if they have the same query.
Regards
Jem

Question RJ connector pinout

Hi thank you for your post and to all other here in the forum.

I here in Kenya and wonder if you could just post the pinout of the small RJ connector, the rest i can do it here, it is simply a RS 232 to TTL converter.

You could also use the cable used for the Nokia 3310 duly modified, but surely at a cost more expensive than 2 Pounds.

Kind regards

I'm not commenting on your suggestion as I don't know! but the pin out I used was
Meter
01 TX
02 RX
03 Reset (8ms to ground) unused
04 +5v
05 Boot for firware upgrade (=5v to ground) also unused
06 ground

Hi Jasmine1
352 = 8 deg west, 355 = 5 deg west and 330 = 30 deg west. I thought standard set of transponders included 359 or 1 deg west but if not you'll need a lead and software as above or send the meter for an update. 1.05 is not the latest firmware (transponder lists can be addded at any time and do not show on start up) for the meter it's 1.10 on mine when on the start up screen which might need updating to see newer sats (I don't know!).

I'm just putting the final touches to my new transponder list, updating changed frequencies and adding missing sats which will use about 75 of the available as well as making a new matching crib list with the instructions as came with the meter to give all the usual sats between 45 deg w and 45 deg e.

Do you have 50 entries at the moment? my old list did and that had 359. I've attached the list that came with the meter, some entries are out of date but it may help you start your own if you don't want to send it away. 1 deg west is popular for the footie I understand but I've not tried it.

I have something called a user's guide, 12 sided a5 booklet which I could photocopy and send but I don't know where you'd get a download.

Let me know via my website (see contact info in the profile for my username) if you need it.

Hi guys,
Been looking for a Serial lead for the SDM2 for a while now, and google brought me here!
Are you (Developers) still supplying leads or diagrams & chips ?
If so would be eternally grateful.

Many thanks

Yes I can still help. As you haven't been a member for long I can't private message you but if you click on my developers name, it should have a drop down box, click on "visit developers homepage!" and there is a link to send me an email.
