Cant install SkyStar2 and maker doesnt respond

I got a new Toshiba Satellite laptop and tried to install Skystar2 USB on it but in vain after it was working well on the HP laptop. After installing the driver successfully, windows detects a network and starts a network setup wizard but it seems its installation is not successfull. Although I see the driver installed well in the device manager, neither ProgDvb nor its own viewer detect the device. Any idea? I emailed the maker of the card with no response....

Well

What operating system is the laptop?

If it is new and it is Vista then that for sure will be your problem

Actually it is a new Toshiba ORIGINALLY with vista but I ripped it off and put Win XP SP1 instead. I imagine the driver may not work on it but any place where I find OLD drivers?
