Astra 3a at 23.5E , Kabel deutschland and others on

does anyone know why i cant view many channels on 23.5E, using altdvb with skystar2 and a 43cm acorn sweety casgrain prime focus dish through the kitchen window. Also got latest vplug and emus for nagra 2 ect. The only chanels i can view are primiere 1-4 and premiere sports , any time i click on any other channel weather free to air or encrypted, my server4pc green coloured disk turns red and the screen goes blank, when i go back to the premiere channels its ok but anything else its like im not getting any reception, now thinking maybe they are cable only stations and maybe my lnb cannot recornise them or something, im completly baffled. was thinking maybe dish size, but when i scan it picks up all the channels and more shown on lyngsat for 23.5E., also thinking maybe broadcast in some kind of format that my altdvb cannot recognise, maybe 4.2.2, really am so so baffled. im about 10 miles to the west of london, not far from heathrow and windsor, my sat magazine recommends a 60cm dish, but my sweety supposidly gives a 60cm performance and can receive astra 1, astra 2 and even most channels on hotbird, struggles with art channels but generally ok for hot bird, so thinking must be ok for 23.5E. borrowed my neihbours lucuna sat meter for best alingment but still baffled as to why i can only veiw the premiere direkt channels, of which there are only around 5 or 6 of them unlike astra 1.

Your dish is too small for the Astra 3A channels. You should get the stuff on Astra 1E no problem

I also have a 57 cm acorn sweety casgrain prime focus dish which i havent got round to ever using, this supposidly acts like a 85cm dish, do you think i would be able to use this for astra 3A and apart from the few premiere channels is anything else open on that bird

You can try it, but 1m will be nearer the mark for Astra 3A, possibly a bit more!
